2008 Developing Leaders Award Winners to be Recognizedat development '08: the annual meeting for commercial real estate, September 22, 2008
Washington, D.C. – NAIOP will honor 17 commercial real estate industry professionals as winners of the association’s 2008 Developing Leaders Award. The award recipients were chosen by a selection committee comprised of NAIOP members and industry leaders.

NAIOP established the award, sponsored by its Diversity Task Force, in 2006 to recognize rising professionals who have distinguished themselves within their profession and who show great promise as influential leaders in the commercial real estate industry. NAIOP members, age 35 and under, were encouraged to apply for the award and were evaluated on the following criteria: leadership, professional competency, career goals, education, NAIOP participation, community involvement and judge’s discretion of merit.

The recipients of the 2008 Developing Leaders Award are:
•     Daniel Broderick – Senior Vice President, Eastdil Secured, San Diego, Calif.
•     Jacquelynn Henke – Manager for Sustainability, Senior Project Manager, Allston Development Group – Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass.
•     Kyle Jones – Development Manager, Stiles Corporation, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
•     Katie Kieffer – Project and Operations Specialist, NorthMarq Real Estate Service LLC, Bloomington, Minn.
•     Lyle Landowski – Vice President, Inland Companies, Milwaukee, Wis.
•     Kevin Lott – Director of Leasing, Colonial Properties Trust, Roswell, Ga.
•     John Martin – Marketing Coordinator, ECS Carolinas, LLP, Greensboro, N.C.
•     Daniel McCarthy, Jr. – Senior Vice President, Jones Lang LaSalle, Chicago, Ill.
•     Timothy McEachern – Real Estate Manager, Opus South Corporation, Orlando, Fla.
•     Brian Meihaus – Development Manager, Shea Properties, Aliso Viejo, Calif.

•     Joshua Udelhofen – Director of Office Leasing, The Koman Group, St. Louis, Mo.
•     Julie Walleisa – Associate, Dekker/Perich/Sabatini, Albuquerque, N.M.
•     Bing Wang – Partner, HyperBina, Inc.; Lecturer, Harvard University Graduate School of Design,
Cambridge, Mass.

NAIOP President Thomas J. Bisacquino spoke of the importance of the Developing Leaders Award, stating, “The Developing Leaders program recognizes the vital roles that our industry’s developing leaders play in commercial real estate today and encourages diversity and professional growth among these outstanding professionals who will lead commercial real estate into the future.”
