Commercial Real Estate Professionals Invited to Industry Breakfast, November 5, 2008
Austin, Texas – Professionals engaged in the
development of office, industrial and mixed-use properties are
invited to join the National Association of Industrial and Office
Properties (NAIOP) for a
complimentary commercial real estate breakfast on Tuesday,
November 11, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin.
Commercial real estate leaders in Austin and San Antonio are leading a discussion to explore launching a chapter, and will be encouraging all development professionals to join this inaugural group. The chapter would become the third in the state, with chapters currently in North Texas and Houston.
Among the speakers will be Rodney Gonzales, acting director, economic growth and redevelopment services offices, City of Austin. Kim Hillman, Trust Worth Capital USA and a NAIOP member formerly of the San Diego chapter, is leading efforts to establish the Austin chapter.
“Austin is a vibrant market with a strong commercial real estate base. We’ve already received tremendous interest and support from development professionals who are eager to establish a local chapter,” said Thomas J. Bisacquino, NAIOP president. “This new chapter would serve as a catalyst for business opportunities and a new venue for networking.”
NAIOP is an association of more than 17,500 members with an extensive network of 56 chapters across North America, representing the interests of developers and owners of industrial, office and mixed-use commercial real estate. NAIOP provides communication, networking and business opportunities for all real estate related professionals; provides a forum for continuing education; and promotes effective public policy, through its grassroots network, to create, protect and enhance property values.
The breakfast will be held from 7:30 —9 a.m., at the Four Seasons (98 San Jacinto Boulevard, Austin). Media are invited to attend. Interested media and commercial real estate professionals are asked to register by contacting Beth Karcz by fax, (703) 674-1461; phone, (703) 904-7100; or e-mail, karcz@naiop.org.
