NAIOP Promotes John Bryant to Senior Director of Federal Affairs, January 16, 2008
Washington, D.C. - The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) is pleased to announce that John Bryant has been promoted to senior director of federal affairs. Bryant has been with NAIOP since March 2003 and reports to Aquiles Suarez, vice president for government affairs.

In his role, Bryant manages environmental and energy legislative initiatives for NAIOP’s government affairs department. He also lobbies federal issues that affect the commercial real estate industry, such as wetlands, Brownfields redevelopment, tenant improvement depreciation and endangered species.

“John’s knowledge on environmental issues and his experience on Capitol Hill are a definite asset to the association,” said Thomas J. Bisacquino, NAIOP president. “His impressive background and ability to relate with NAIOP and Congressional members alike is truly an advantage that will help keep the needs of NAIOP members at the forefront.”

Bryant is a graduate of Sonoma State University in California with a BS in environmental planning. Before joining NAIOP, Bryant served as an environmental advisor/senior legislative assistant to former Representative Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.), where he created environmental policy and drafted legislation to support resource sustainable goals. He also worked for HAZMED, a United States Environmental Protection Agency Region IV contractor, as an environmental investigator for Superfund sites.
